It seems like yesterday when we were at Miami Swim Show in 2009, wandering the many aisles of swimwear, searching for that one brand that made us stop dead in our tracks and here we are now launching their latest collection, 2019 Agua Bendita at Butterflies and Bikinis. Combining the passion of designers,  Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, and the original artisan work of hundreds of Colombian women, came the creation of unique and exclusive swimwear. The girls wanted to show what Colombia is about through the mixture of details, contemporary design and handicrafts. The colorful prints, beaded detailing and embroidery as well as creative styles, made us curious to know more about them and the swimsuits and clothing we saw hanging in their booth. Since then, we have continued to carry their entire collection every year, now turning into two collections each season, Resort and Summer.

2019 Agua Bendita at Butterflies and Bikinis begins with the Resort Collection, entitled Origins, taking us back in time to where everything began, from mythical creatures in a garden of marvelous scented flowers to animals and goddesses. This gorgeous collection reflects the amazing artisenal details that the brand is known for from their unique and colorful prints to their one of a kind 'bikini art' with crochet detailing and hand embroidery and beading created by the amazing women Agua Bendita employs in their Colombian village. Combining animal prints, floral prints, Aztec designs and even feathers to tell their story, their collection features brazilian bikinis, one pieces, gorgeous cover ups and beautiful bags.
